Senior In-house Corporate Lawyer/Legal Counsel

A newly created opportunity has arisen for a Senior Corporate/Commercial lawyer to join a tight knit, in-house team.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first Legal Counsel opportunity or alternatively, someone seeking a move from an in-house environment.

The role would suit candidates with a minimum of 6 years PAE experience (likely at a Senior Associate level in either a mid or top tier firm) and will take responsibility for the following:

• Advising on legislative and regulatory obligations
• Drafting, advising on and negotiating commercial agreements
• Providing legal and strategic advice in relation to major expenditure and projects
• Supporting the creation of quality marketing and website design
• Working across the business, but particularly in contact with staff across Risk, Legal and Compliance.
• Working closely and reporting to the Head of Legal.

Candidates will have excellent communication skills, strong general commercial experience (ideally with regulatory compliance matters, contract work and consumer protection laws).  If you have come from a Financial Services, Energy/Resources or regulated industry background that will be highly beneficial.
