Exciting opportunity for an experienced Lawyer through to SA with Native Title/Cultural Heritage experience. Top tier clients, progressive firm.
- Uniquely placed role working with an exceptionally talented Partner
- Work Life Balance, realistic billable targets, golden triangle offices
- Opportunity to progress quickly, including path to partnership
Having just placed a senior partner who has a P&E/Property background, I am now assisting this high profile, boutique commercial law firm in recruiting an Associate/SA level candidate to work within their team.
The role will involve supporting the Partner who advises on regulatory compliance in all aspects of land management across three key industries – mining and resources, property development and major infrastructure as well as Agribusiness.
The role will see you acting for developers, mining and resources companies and agribusinesses, statutory and regulatory authorities, local government, as well as advising the Queensland Government on a range of matters. The partner of this team is uniquely placed to advise clients (given their previous background and involvement) in much of the development and implementation of policy, regulatory and legislative frameworks governing land use in Queensland.
Ideally you will be coming from a larger firm environment where you will have gained experience in the areas of of mining law, land access, tenure and regulatory approvals, native title, and indigenous cultural heritage for resources, Government, energy and infrastructure clients. In addition, you may have had some experience acting for landholders in negotiating land access agreements, such as compensation agreements and conduct and compensation agreements, for mining and CSG projects.
This is a perfect opportunity for a lawyer with at least 3-4 years PAE+ who wants to work in an agile environment (with some WFH options), very reasonable billable targets and with the opportunity to progress your career quickly within a fun and progressive environment.
