The Role:
 

The position involves taking the lead in company projects by providing planning and resource management advice and working collaboratively with Surveyors, Geotechnical and Civil Engineers to produce quality outcomes for their clients.
The planning team work with a wide variety of clients, and the projects are equally diverse, with commercial, industrial, rural and residential developments of varying sizes and complexities. 
  
You will be experienced with resource management including all aspects of the consenting process and will be comfortable liaising with regional and local government authorities, clients and other stakeholders. 

As an experienced Planner, you will build relationships and be active in the local market contributing to identification and securing of new work.
The role will be based in the company’s Bay of Plenty office, with most of your work being local. And let’s not forget the legendary lifestyle and climate this area offers!

What are we looking for?

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • A minimum of 5+ years of New Zealand based experience
  • Hold or eligible for full NZPI membership 
  • Proven track record in the consulting environment 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Experience in land development and subdivision processes
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of legislative and planning frameworks
  • Effective and efficient report and application writing skills
  • Team player that thrives in a collaborative environment.
